Leadership Awards

Let Nick know if you are interested in working on one of these.  There are very specific
requirements and training required, and some can only be earned at certain levels.
 

Girl Scout Cadettes
Grades 6, 7, 8

Girl Scout Senior
Grades 9, 10

Girl Scout Cadettes

Cadette Silver Torch Award

The Silver Torch award recognizes a Girl Scout Cadette who acts as a leader in her community.
Complete a Journey and Hold A Leadership Position.
  1. Complete one Cadette Leadership Journey
  2. Serve in a leadership position at a school, place of worship, library, or similar organization, approved by your troop leader.

Senior Silver and Gold Torch Award
 
The Silver Torch award recognizes a Girl Scout Senior who acts as a leader in her community.

  2. Serve in a leadership position at a school, place of worship, library, or similar organization, approved by your troop leader.

Ambassador Gold Torch Award
The Gold Torch award recognizes a Girl Scout Ambassador who acts as a leader in her community

  1. Complete one Ambassador Leadership Journey
  2. Serve in a leadership position at a school, place of worship, library, or similar organization, approved by your troop leader

 
Cadette Community Service Bar
 
The Cadette Community Service Bar is earned by making a difference in the community and practicing the values of the Girl Scout Law. It is also a way for girls to get involved with a cause they care about.
Volunteer At Least 20 Hour in Your Community
  1. Download the Service Bar form at http://tinyurl.com/service-bar-form
  2. Complete the first part of the form and email it to girlprogram@girlscoutsrv.org.
  3. One approves, track your hours on the form and submit it to you Troop Leader

Ambassador Comm.Service Bar

Ambassador Community Service Bar is earned by making a difference in the community and practicing the values of the Girl Scout Law.

Volunteer At Least 20 Hour in Your Community

  2. Once approved, track your hours (02) on the form and submit it to your Troop Leader.

The Cadette Service to Girl Scouting Bar is earned by volunteering with Girl Scouts. Volunteer at events for younger girls, assist the council or service unit, or help with special projects.
Volunteer At Least 20 Hours for Girl Scouts
  1. Get your Troop Leader’s approval before starting - can be Camp, an event, helping a troop, etc.
  2. Volunteer at least 20 hours (track you hours)
  3. Give a summary of your hours to your Troop Leader

Cadette Program Aide Pin
Cadettes receive their Program Aide award by earning one LiA award, completing council-designed leadership course training, and working directly with younger girls.
  1. Earn the Cadette Leader in Action award from one of the three Leadership Journeys
  2. Complete Program Aide Training Course
  3. 3. Complete the Assistant Caddie Training Course
  4. 4. Work directly with younger girls in a day camp or resident camp session

 

Counselor in Training I

Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors mentor young girls in a camp setting as they build skills toward becoming a camp counselor.

Serve 2 Weeks as an Experienced Caddie/Sr Caddie

  1. Take Twilight Camp Senior Caddie TrainingTake Twilight Camp Advanced Leadership Training
  2. Work at least two weeks as a Caddie (your 8th/9th grad years or both weeks in 9th grade week/year)
  3. Complete the CIT Observation Experience

 

Counselor in Training II

Girl Scout Ambassadors earn this award by working with younger girls over the course of at least one camp session while focused on increasing their skills in one specific area--such as riding instruction, lifeguarding, or the arts.

Complete Training & Service in a Programming Area

  1. Take Working with Younger Girls Training (Sun)
  2. Work at least one week as a Programming Caddie or Program Specialist in Twilight Camp
  3. Complete the CIT II Observation Experience
  

 
Volunteer in Training
This award is for girls who'd like to mentor a Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, Junior or Cadette group outside of the camp experience. Girls who have completed ninth grade are eligible to earn this award. Volunteer as an Assistant Troop Leader
 
This award is earned over multiple sessions with a Daisy/ Brownie/ Junior Troop.  Discuss this award with your Troop Leader to determine your requirements.  Send questions to
